Handmade wheel-thrown mug, glazed in white. This mug is made with a specialty overglaze decal, and hand-painted with real gold. This mug needs four firings in the kiln as opposed to the two firings pottery usually needs. The cost of overglaze decals, real gold decorations, and extra firings is reflected in the price of the mug. Because this mug is made with real gold, it is not microwave safe and should be hand-washed when possible. Repeated time in the dishwasher will cause the gold to lose its luster. Each goddess mug is completely unique, and there are variations from mug to mug, as is the nature of handmade items.
